VM Creation

 MY FIRST VIRTUAL MACHINE


In this blog, I have shared the steps to create a virtual machine using VirtualBox.

1. Open Virtual Box. Click on 'New'. Name the operating system Swetha Ubuntu and select the type Ubuntu


2. Set up username and password.


3. Configure Hardware and Virtual Hard Disk  



4. Click on Finish


5. Virtual Machine is created

1. In services, go to VPC and click Create VPC. 2. In the IPv4 CIDR block, enter the IP address 10.0.0.0/16 3. The VPC is launched. 4. 'Project-vpc' is now made available. 5. Now let us create 4 subnets (2 public and 2 private subnets) 6. All 4 subnets have been created. 7. Time to create an Internet gateway. 8. (One for public subnets and one for private subnets) 11. Edit the subnet associations. 12. Similarly create another route table for private subnets. 13. Edit the subnet associations for this one as well. 14. Configure   the public route table to route all requests to the ISP 15. Create a fresh EC2 instance, change the VPC and subnet in network settings 16. S imilarly create a new instance in VPC again with a public subnet 17.  Now the public subnet can be accessed via public IP

Network Virtualization

N etwork virtualization allows network functions, hardware resources, and software resources to be delivered independently of hardware, as a virtual network. It can be used to combine many physical networks, subdivide a network, or connect virtual machines  together.  It enables the grouping of nodes in a virtual network and also  enables the virtual network to share network resources. C ommunication between nodes in a virtual network without routing of frames is made possible. Network Virtualization software enables the virtual deployment of a full network and decouples network functions from the actual hardware. EC2 Instance accessible via remote client

1. Launch an EC2 instance 'Swetha Ec2 Remote Client'. 2. Create a key pair in .pem Format and launch the instance. 3. The instance is launched successfully. 4. In windows, open the putty key generator, and load the .pem file and save the private key in .ppk format. 5. Open WinSCP. Click on New Site. Copy the Public IPv4 address of the instance launched and paste it into the hostname in WinSCP. 6. Open advanced site settings, go to authentication, and upload the private key file. 7. Save the changes and click on Login.  EC2 instance accessible via a remote client in AWS is created.
